TechBehemoths surveyed 830 companies across 34 countries to uncover which analytics tools they’re using beyond Google Analytics—and what the future holds for GA in 2025.

The survey found 96.3% of teams still use Google Analytics, mainly Universal Analytics, due to its reliability, integrations, and cost-effectiveness. Many also use tools like SEMrush (510 teams) and Ahrefs (420) for SEO and competitor insights, along with HubSpot, Hotjar, Microsoft Clarity, Matomo, and Mixpanel.

Most teams use a focused mix of 1–5 analytics tools, balancing insights with simplicity. Analytics is now a cross-functional effort, led by Marketing (760 mentions), followed by Sales (320) and Data teams (290), with even C-level execs actively involved in data-driven decisions.

Over 80% of respondents check their data daily or weekly, highlighting analytics as a key part of daily operations. However, tool satisfaction averages just 3.7 out of 5, with common issues including complexity, data accuracy, and integration challenges.

“Analytics tools now do more than just create reports — they help shape strategies and budget choices. Our findings show that more people want tools that are easy to use, accurate, and provide clear actions,”
