Hitachi Solutions Asia Pacific (HSAP), a leading supplier of global industry solutions fueled by Microsoft Azure, announced the successful launch of D365 Finance and D365 Supply Chain Management (SCM) with Axiata Digital Advertising (ADA).

ADA is a data and Artificial Intelligence (AI) firm based in Malaysia that develops and implements integrated digital, analytics, and marketing solutions across ASEAN and South Asian region. It realized the need to replace its antiquated ERP systems when it took the decision to help ADA accomplish its strategic growth goals in the region.

There was a dire need for the company to customize its platform to suit current business needs as with the previously used Dynamics NAV on-premises, the company had outgrown the platform’s capabilities. Other legal entities, too, have had relied on legacy systems or manual processes. ADA implemented D365 Finance and SCM in collaboration with HSAP across 11 legal entities in nine South and Southeast Asia countries. HSAP created a worldwide framework and implemented the new system with a big bang strategy, bringing all of ADA’s company finance procedures on a single platform.

Dynamics 365 Finance provides better financial aggregation and month-end closing procedures and enables its customers to operate smoothly in their day-to-day activities. Unlike previous 12 to 15 days after month-end close, ADA can now fulfill closing faster, ensuring those audit standards are met. ADA intends to boost its use of D365 Finance and SCM as it prepares for expansion, both in terms of geography and scope of business.

Despite the pandemic, this deployment demonstrated HSAP’s established cooperation with ADA by quickly delivering value through its best standards and expertise. The project is significant for HSAP because it is the company’s first deployment in the advertising business and the team’s first ERP project in hitherto untapped markets, including Bangladesh, Cambodia, and South Korea.
